Raban kavi (Raban pada)
Raban songs are directly bound with the Sinhalese and Hindu new year season. The villagers can be seen engaged in playing “rabana”. The villagers are gathering and sitting round the rabana and beat to the rabana. The special feature of this is they are singing rhyme songs and most of the times they are singing “siv pada”(verses with four lines).This is a folk game and the villagers have a lot of fun by playing the “rabana”. -natlib.lk-
