During the years 1951/1952 I was in the Royal Navy aboard HMS Loch Glendhu which was based in Trincomalee, but we had our refits carried out in Colombo Dry Dock. I have fond memories of those times, and the crew actually were accommodated in the Bristol Hotel. I don’t remember it which is shown in the picture. I wonder if it is still there, because I would like to see it again during my anticipated vacation to Sri Lanka next year.
