I am trying to trace any information about my great great grandfather who was a tea planter on the spring valley estate near uva. His name was thomas wood, born 1812 in Edinburgh, the son of a very famous surgeon, William Wood. He arrived in Ceylon from Jamaica about 1847 and died in1879 0n the Nahavilla Estate Badulla.
