Location: Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka
Date Published: 1910-1930s

Half moon stone is completely carved out of a slab of rock/granite. It has several (half) rings (semi circle).

  1. The first ring is that of flames.
  2. Four animals, namely; elephants, horses, lions and bulls.
  3. Creeper (and leaves) followed by a (half) ring of swans (carrying a lotus plant with a half opened lotus flower in each swans beak).
  4. Final (semi) circle of a creeper which brings us to the centre that is of a blossomed lotus flower (half).

At first look i though whether it was a real antique directly from the moon because there is a speculation about ancient ruins on moon
